Due to the high demand for both standing and felled timber across the UK, the price per ton of most of the hardwood species we source to make charcoal have increased substantially, due to the impact from the rise in biomass woodfuel chip boiler installations.
As a result of this and other factors such as the UK Minimum wage, processing and packaging costs our charcoal prices have had to rise - both retail and wholesale.
