The following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.
Domestic Shipping Policy
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-3 business days where possible. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.
Shipping rates & delivery estimates
Stag British Charcoal works with the reputable company CSM Logistics who are a one-stop shop for e-commerce retailers looking to ship their products to customers in the UK.
Due to our location, we are paired with UPS as our nominated courier for all boxes of charcoal delivered to customers.
As a result of rising fuel prices and other costs affecting ALL courier firms in the UK, we are at the mercy of annual and seasonal price rises that are outside of our control and, unfortunately these costs have to be passed on. We have never added, nor will ever add profit margin to shipping costs; what we as a business are charged is what the customer is charged.
In addition to annual price rises, ALL Courier Companies enable “Peak Season Surcharges”, the dates vary but in Autumn2025; this will run from 28th September 2025 until 17th January 2026.
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Shipping charges are per courier box, a courier box can carry up to 3x 6kg bags of charcoal.
Shipping charges are higher for addresses in the Scottish Highlands & Remote Postcodes. If a customer selects the wrong delivery option at checkout, the order will be held until the correct courier charges are paid or the customer cancels the order.

Our couriers – CSM Logistics have committed to reducing greenhouse gases and local pollutants as a result of concerns over air quality in the UK.
As a result of this commitment, they have now levied an addition charge per consignment delivered in the UK and this has been added to our delivery charges, effective 1st April 2020.
Delivery delays can occasionally occur and are outside our control. This includes Industrial Action or other factors.
Delivery Attempts
Where a parcel delivery is attempted and no one is available to accept delivery our couriers UPS, will make a second attempt to delivery the parcel on the next business day, before returning to Stag Charcoal. Where parcels are returned, a “Package Undeliverable Charge” will be deducted from any refund offered.
Shipment to P.O. boxes
Stag British Charcoal does not ship to P.O. Boxes.
Large Volume Orders
We offer a number of options for groups wishing to purchase large quantities of charcoal:
- UK Pallet delivery for customers wishing to organise group purchases. UK Mainland, not Scottish Highlands or London (for pallet deliveries into London, please contact us for a delivery quote)
- BioChar Bulk Bag (Skirt Top) UK Pallet Delivery, not Scottish Highlands or London
For large quantities, please contact Stag Charcoal to discuss the best option available.
Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
www.stagbritishcharcoal.co.uk is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
Damages
www.stagbritishcharcoal.co.uk is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the couriers e.g. UPS or Parcel Force to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
International Shipping Policy
We do not currently offer delivery to European Countries. Please contact us for shipping charges before placing an order
